In order to assist students who have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 阿拉莫大学 distributed more than $15.4 million in federal emergency aid grants to 13,736 students across the M8体育APP.

“The federal emergency funds provided to the M8体育APP for student emergency aid have been critical in helping our students and their families,” said 阿拉莫大学’ Chancellor Dr. 迈克•弗洛.

“We have witnessed great resiliency and persistence from our students over the last 18 months. While the pandemic is not over, our mission continues to be to provide support to all of our students and remove any barriers that may be keeping them from continuing their pursuit of higher education.他补充道。.

学生 receiving Pell Grants during the Fall 2021 semester are eligible to receive this one-time distribution ranging from $600 - $2,000 per student based on information provided on their FAFSA. Any student who did not receive a distribution is still eligible to apply for federal emergency aid grants through the district’s Student Emergency 援助 webpage.

Grants are awarded based on a case-by-case basis with several factors considered. The amount a student can receive in a grant will be determined based on the number of applications received, 资金的可用性, and the specific needs presented in the application.

学生 who have not registered for courses in Fall 2021 still have time to register. Registration is open for the 14-week Start II term, which begins September 7, 和Fall Flex II, an 8-week session that begins October 18.
